Jesse and Jessica Phillips grew up in New Sharon, IA. Jessica had Africa placed on her heart at a very young age and that passion grew when she met her soul mate, Jesse, who was open to whatever God had in store for him. The two were married in 2013 and seeing his beautiful bride so passionate about such a worthy cause fueled Jesse’s desires to become a part of the vision Jessica had for Africa. So, they moved to Liberia, West Africa in 2015 under their new ministry, “For the Lamb”.
They have since grown their family with three children: Job, Semira, and Kaius. Their ministry focuses primarily on discipling and encouraging local followers of Jesus through the operation of a compressed stabilized earth block (CSEB) factory and construction business, Kingdom Earth Builders. This business enables them to provide good paying jobs, Christ-centered discipleship, and personal leadership development training for up to 60 local men and women. All of this being funded by local building projects across the country. They have been able to work alongside many other ministries by managing the development of their infrastructure from the construction of churches, schools, and community centers, to the building of homes for missionaries and also those without homes.
Their passion is to build up local members of the church and help them find their place in the body of Christ. It is also their goal to encourage local followers of Jesus to step into their place in the Kingdom, reach out to their own people and even those beyond the borders of their own country, and spread the good news of Jesus Christ to places that only they can reach.
