Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming environment where children will learn that Jesus loves them, God made them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. The use of background checks for workers, a secure check-in and check-out system for families, and age-appropriate toys, lessons and activities all work together to support this mission.
Our classrooms are divided by age, grade and ability. All classes are led by trained volunteers. Clearwater Kids is available during our 10:00 a.m. service.
Our Curriculum:
Clearwater Church takes Jesus’ command to “love God and love people” seriously.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it. Love your neighbor as yourself. -Matthew 22:37-39
Clearwater Kids is passionate about fulfilling our church mission, yet for this fruit to emerge in a child’s life, they must first embrace the unwavering truth that their identity is in Christ, and Christ alone. That’s why we have chosen to use Wonder Ink curriculum in
our Elementary and Early Childhood ministries.
Wonder Ink is based on four core values: God Knows Me, Jesus Loves Me, The Holy Spirit Leads Me, and I Am a Child of God. The weekly lessons are enriched with these values—giving kids space to fully discover their place in God’s Big Story and resulting in an understanding of how their lives can tell the world of His wonder. “Wonder” is where it all begins. “Ink” is God’s Truth written on their hearts.
This is a three-year curriculum that takes our preschool and elementary kids through the entire Bible every year. Each year will highlight different Bible stories from the Old and New Testament while showing how they connect with the Bible as a whole. It even includes special Christmas and Easter series that clearly connect the Old Testament to the New Testament in God’s Big Story!
Rooted in the biblical truth that our identity is found in God’s Big Story—where Jesus is Lord and the Holy Spirit is present—Wonder Ink makes room for the big (and sometimes hard) questions kids have while leaving no doubt about who God is or who we are in Him.
