The Story: A New, Church-Wide Series
The Story is a chronological and thematic study of the entire Bible. Everyone from adults down to the nursery will be doing it together at Clearwater! We will talk about Genesis 1-7 this Sunday. If you purchased a book, please read Chapter 1 before Sunday. If you’d like to purchase a hardback NIV copy of The Story, you can do so for $5 each next Sunday. We are sorry that we will not have the adult version available this Sunday. We did not expect so many people to purchase the books last week and our new order is running late. Along with the adult The Story books we also have the following kids books available for purchase:

• The Story for Students (youth group) $10
• The Story for Upper Elementary (ages 8-12) $8
• The Story for Early Readers (ages 4-8) $10
• The Story for Toddlers and Preschool (ages 2-5) $10

Cash or check accepted for payment. See you this weekend!

Sunday Story Class
Join us Sundays from 9:00- 9:45 a.m. in the former library area for a class reviewing The Story message from the previous week. We will answer questions from the previous week’s sermon. Also, we will look at some the characters involved in that part of The Story and how God still uses them to teach us today!

The next 14er’s breakfast for men is Saturday, September 25th, in the Lobby at Clearwater from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. There is no charge. An offering is available to those who wish to donate. Contact Don at for more information.

Clearwater Bike Clinic and Picnic
Join us on Saturday, September 25th, 3:00-7:00 p.m.! Open to ALL ages! The Bike Clinic will provide basic instruction on things such as regular bicycle maintenance, bicycle safety checks for children, changing a tire, patching a tube, adjusting a shifter, tightening a chain, brake pads and brake cables and the importance of helmets and lights. It will be held in the church parking lot from 3 to 4:30 p.m., then we’ll ride bikes to Edora Park for a picnic. Clearwater will provide the drinks and dessert (we’ll have a gluten-free, nut-free option). Roger McClain, who will be leading the clinic, will also share a short message on what the Lord has taught him and his wife, Rosanna, as they have ridden their tandem bike. We’ll ride back to the church by 7 p.m. We hope you (and your family) will make plans to join us for this fun and helpful community event! To find out more, pick up a flyer from the Connect Spot or Email Roger for questions.

Fall baptisms will be held Sunday, October 3rd, at the 10:00 a.m. service. Have you decided to take the plunge and dedicate your life to Jesus? Then you’ll want to join us and take the next step in your faith journey! Sign up at the Connect Spot to let us know you’d like to be baptized, and we’ll get back to you with the details.

Pray for Mission to Malaga, Spain
Attenders of Clearwater Church, Craig and Nan will depart for their ministry among North African refugees in Malaga, Spain on September 30 for about three months. They are so ready and excited now that restrictions are being lifted and they can continue the work that God has called them to do. They have asked that we keep them in prayer for health, safety and that their ministry will bear fruit. Additionally, support may be sent to Craig and Nan by using this link: and then choosing Craig and Nan Ramsey.

Kids Ministry Volunteers Needed
The Clearwater Kids Ministry is growing and we are currently looking for new volunteers to help hold babies, play with toddlers, teach either preschool or elementary or do check in/out. We train you and provide all the resources. If you are not currently serving at Clearwater, would you consider joining our team and becoming a part of teaching the greatest in the kingdom? Email Gay Kroening if interested.

20 Somethings Group
Our 20 Somethings group will begin meeting on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. in the Dining Room at Clearwater beginning September 7. We will enjoy a light meal (often pizza), worship, prayer and great content focused on loving God and loving people. We will go in-depth into a survey of the Bible called “The Story”, a chronological approach to understanding the broad scope of the Bible. We will break into smaller groups to address the different needs of college students, singles and couples currently in the workforce. We’re also looking for some great recipes to try out for the meals and suggestions for monthly recreation. Come join us on September 7th to deepen your friendship with the Lord and others!
